Please note that Student registration applies to only those students who are currently enrolled in 9 or more credit hours of courses. Proof of enrollment will be required prior to admittance to the conference.

Middle States Regional AAG Conference (22 Oct 2010)

The Middle States Regional AAG conference will be held October 22nd-23rd, 2010 at the Thayer Hotel in West Point, NY. In addition to the paper and poster sessions many other opportunities exist for students and faculty!

· STUDENT PAPER COMPETITIONS (Graduate & Undergraduate): Prizes for 1st & 2nd places - Students who submit to the competition and present at the meeting receive free registration. Student status (graduate or undergraduate) is of May 1 2010. Abstract Deadline: Sept 10; Paper Deadline: Oct 1. Faculty please encourage your students to participate before everyone disperses for the summer because the abstract deadline it at the beginning of the fall semester. I have attached a flyer with details, please post it. Email abstracts to middlestatesmeeting@yahoo.com.

· GEOBOWL: Any student can participate in this exciting geo trivia competition. The top 6 individual participants in the regional competition will receive travel support to help go to Seattle, WA for the Annual Meeting next spring.

· MIDDLE STATES GEOGRAPHER: Peer-reviewed journal for any geography topic. Back issues at : http://geographyplanning.buffalostate.edu/middlestates.html
