The MAC URISA Fall Meeting of will consist of an all-day LIDAR Symposium featuring presentations from the perspectives of government agencies (federal, regional, state, local) and vendors. You will benefit from theses presentations whether the technology is new to you or not, or if your organization can benefit from the use of data derived from LIDAR.
LIDAR is an acronym for light detection and ranging, a remote-sensing technique that uses lasers to measure distances to reflective surfaces. This technology is currently being used for high-resolution topographic mapping and can be applied in numerous fields such as, for example, forestry, geologic mapping, oceanography, and bathymetry.
